Tenika Ah-Wan
Tenika Ah-Wan is the Director of Level 10 Training and Consulting Ltd and is also an approved trainer for the Institute of Fundraising Academy; teaching both the Certificate and Diploma qualifications as well as a range of technical fundraising skills courses. She has been an educator in fundraising and the Non Profit sector for 8 years and has worked with a broad range of charity and social enterprise clients.
Tenika is passionate about sharing fundraising practices and being a champion in the fundraising profession. She is currently involved with the development and delivery of the UK National Apprenticeship Scheme for fundraisers in partnership with Rathbone UK. Previously, Tenika worked as Deputy Director for the Fundraising & Management Division at Kingston Smith Services Ltd where she worked as a fundraising consultant and trainer for Accountant’s charity clients. Her specialist areas of focus include working with arts, health, faith and Black & Minority Ethnic organizations and developing Capital fundraising campaigns, major gift programmes, trust applications and corporate fundraising strategies.
Tenika was the founder and Director for the Level Ten Arts development agency in the West Midlands, Head of Fundraising with the policy and infrastructure charity BTEG and Development Manager for Kajans (a theatre and education charity).
She has spent the last ten years improving the technical business and fundraising skills of the Third Sector, through training and mentoring. Tenika has worked with a range of large and small charities including: Leonard Cheshire Disability, South England Conference of Seventh Day Adventists, Relate, and YMCA England, Chain of Hope, The Fostering Network, and John Huntingdon’s Charity.
Tenika is a regular speaker at Third sector conferences and events; including the Institute of Fundraising Annual National Convention, the Directory of Social Change annual CharityFair, CHASE– annual Non Profit Expo and conference, and the Association of Fundraising Professionals International Conference.
